Okay, now the REAL question, Does Google Wallet PROTECT the buyer from scams? Paypal reimburses losses, less than $1,000.00 USD with pre-qualified sellers does Google Wallet? And what's this garbage about Google Wallet holding funds till the buyer is satisfied? Who started that rumor?

that people can display such open stupidity... makes me truly sad. nintendo arent left behind, its just the opposite. nintendo are leading the pack and people question them purely because fear of change is human nature, and nintendo is at the forefront of change. i prefer a gamepad to an ipad any day because a pure touchscreen can never give the same level of control as physical hardware, and if need arises, the gamepad has a touchscreen inbuilt. the result is the ability to cater to a far bigger audience. atari made the mistake of getting too confidant and slowing down. tortoise and the hare story ring any bells? nintendo are showing no signs of such, and making the miiverse platform available universally is certainly a step in the right direction. it shows willingness to adapt to current market, without sacrificing the ideals that have made the company last longer than any of the others.

Integrating social media sharing capabilities within artist websites / stores would make more sense. Everything is then in one place and with PayPal it's very easy to streamline the process and avoid signing up to yet more new platforms. Digital distribution is in place to collect music royalties so are the artists now expected to manage this too? Eventbrite offers integration and sharing facilities as well as some cool apps which are free so I'm failing to see the benefits here? Revolutionising the digital space needs to be simple, fun and exciting for artists and their management companies

That's not miiverse... - that's the warawara plaza... which shows some miiverse messages for the most popular current games.

Miiverse is the thing AFTER you press the green button and seems more like twitter posts in look & feel.

I dunno. I kinda like it. Besides, if the industry was not so deceitful and greedy, I suppose there might be room for some sympathy. As it stands, it would be best if it would dissolve and re-form to a more rational embodiment. This is USA, not some backwater. Keep it transparent, rational, and disciplined.

Yes the tax handling is build in to many of the software, but often it is the merchant that files the taxes every month manually for the home state. Many eBay sellers are side business or stay-home mothers. We'll see.

There's one other problem with consoles. The game companies are producing repetitive slop year after year. The games are starting to run together...how many games where you run around picking up different weapons and shooting things can they do? There's a lack of innovation and all the pretty graphics in the world won't make up for that.
Then there's a quality problem. Games released on a PC often had bugs that could be blamed on things like sound cards, video cards, etc. With a console release there shouldn't be a problem yet game after game release are buried in bugs. The number of bugs in current console releases is unconscionable...especially at the prices charged.

The PC always has been the true gamer's platform of choice. If Steam can come up with a console that takes PC games easily to the TV they'll have a winner.
One of the best examples of how even a powerful console like the XBox 360 can't compare to a PC setup is Skyrim. The controller on the console limits functions.
A game like World of Warcraft would be nearly impossible without a keyboard.

The Nintendo Gameboy, DS and PSP/Vita haven't exactly destroyed the gaming market. Sure, games on tablets/phones are interesting, but they've got no real controller and are pretty limited to simplistic stuff. Plus...playing a game on even a 10" screen doesn't come close to a 27" computer monitor or 50"+ TV.

In any marketplace a greater amount of competition keeps prices lower for consumers. One of my economics professors simply stated "everything comes down to supply and demand." The lower the supply of real competition the higher the demand for existing products and services. As we all know higher demand equalls higher prices. Allowing the eBay's of the world to continue exploiting this loophole ensures we all pay higher prices inthe near future.

Making sure all retail merchants abide by the same rules and requirements maintains a higher amount of competition keeping the choice in the pocket of the consumer. A truly free market with equally applied laws and policies maintains the highest level of choice and freedoms for consumers.

Sales tax processing is already built into many checkout and sopping carts. The sophistication required is to create an account and check a box. It's actually easier than creating a Facebook Account.

Consoles have lost their steam. Once and forever. MOBILE (!!!) and MOBILITY (!!!) is the future. Consumers don't want to be bound to their couch for gaming, instead more and more prefer to play wherever they are. Even worse the investment in a fully fledged console system is quite large. Console, all sorts of controllers and lots of games can easily pile up to $1000 or more. RIP consoles. Nintendo will be the first leaving the market of hardware consoles but going for software only.

I bought a Wii u which i am more than happy with, and have recently bought a gaming PC which is hooked up to my tv and a wired Xbox controller. Most of my old Xbox clan has made the move to steam and though many of them want a next gen console, it seems to be a trend that more and more console owners are moving to PC as its so much more versatile as a home entertainment system than a dedicated console ever could be. On top of that games are often cheaper than on console and I think that like me where a household might have had a couple of consoles in it last gen this next one will probably only be selling consoles to the hardcore fans for a while at least as everyone is getting more into tablets and PC's but not everyone cares about gran turismo any more :-(
